About the Board

Mission Statement

The mission of the Arizona Board of Barbers is to preserve the public health
and welfare through the development and enforcement of adequate sanitation
procedures, rules, and laws governing barbers and barbering establishments.

The Arizona Barber Board accomplishes its' mission by communication with
licensees regarding proper sanitation methods and changes in the law;
administers barbering examinations; investigates consumer complaints regarding
unlawful activities; and takes effective measures to resolve complaints,
including holding hearings, levying fines, and suspending or revoking licenses.
